Dr. Jordan receives a Bachelor of Arts from Tennessee Agricultural and Industrial State University (now Tennessee State University).

1953

Dr. Jordan becomes an instructor of English at Liberty High School in Massachusetts.

1954

Dr. Jordan becomes an instructor of English and a part-time guidance counselor at Wilson Junior High School in Florence, South Carolina.

1963

Dr. Jordan receives a Master of Education from Wayne State University.

1964

Dr. Jordan becomes an instructor of English at Southwestern High School in Detroit, Michigan.

1968

Dr. Jordan is appointed head of the English Department at Farwell Junior High School in Detroit.

1969

Dr. Jordan becomes a part-time instructor of English at Wayne County Community College in Detroit.

1976

Dr. Jordan is appointed administrative unit head at Richard Middle School in Detroit.

1977

Dr. Jordan is appointed administrative unit head at Von Steuben Middle School in Detroit.

1980

Dr. Jordan becomes a curriculum consultant for Detroit Public Schools in the Professional Growth Center at Wayne State University.
