Graduates from Burlington High School in Burlington, CO.

1971

Earns Bachelor of Science in Business at the University of Colorado Boulder.

1972

Earns Master of Business Administration at the University of Colorado Boulder; Joins Procter & Gamble in brand management (coffee division).

1977

Becomes brand manager at P&G (paper products division).

1980

Becomes marketing manager at The Clorox Company in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

1983

Becomes director of marketing and, subsequently, vice president of marketing at the Kayser-Roth Corporation in Greensboro, NC.

1985

Becomes vice president and marketing consultant at Glendinning Associates in Westport, CT.

1987

Co-founds Coyne Beahm Shouse Inc., marketing and advertising, Greensboro, NC.

2004

Serves as president of the Old North State Council, Boy Scouts of America; Named Volunteer of the Year by United Way of North Carolina.

2004

Selected as chair of the Carolinas Council of the American Association of Advertising Agencies.

2005

Joins the Wake Forest University School of Business as adjunct professor of practice in marketing.
