1945
Ms. Freese is born in Mineola, New York to Dr. Walter C. and Agnes Freese.
1967
Ms. Freese receives a Bachelor of Education in elementary education with a minor in history from Hofstra University and becomes an elementary school teacher in Roosevelt and Massapequa, New York.
1969
Ms. Freese receives a Master of Education in elementary education from Hofstra University and becomes a certified teacher from nursery to sixth grade in the state of New York.
1969
Ms. Freese begins working at Grace Episcopal Day School in Massapequa, New York.
1972
Ms. Freese serves as an assistant to the social work librarian, an assistant to the acquisitions librarian and biographical searcher, a reserve librarian, and a circulation assistant at Adelphi University’s Swirbul Library in Garden City, New York.
1975
Ms. Freese founds the library at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Baldwin, New York.
1977
Ms. Freese receives a Master of Library Science from LIU Post and becomes a certified public librarian.
1983
Ms. Freese serves as president of the Academic and Special Libraries Division of the Nassau County Library Association.
1984
Ms. Freese becomes the senior catalog librarian at Hofstra University and joins the Professional Women of Nassau County.
1989
Ms. Freese authors “Charles Leonard Woolley, 1880-1960,” published by Pierian Press in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She also authors “Missing Links: Smart Barcodes and Inventory Analysis at Hofstra University’s Axinn Library,” in Library and Archival Security.
1990
Ms. Freese serves as the president of the board of advisors for Business and Professional Women of Nassau County Inc.
1992
Ms. Freese serves as chair of the Institutional Services Committee of the Nassau County Library Association.
1993
Ms. Freese becomes establishes a library at the Wayside Home School for Girls and receives the Distinguished Service Award from St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
1994
Ms. Freese is named Woman of the Year by Business and Professional Women of Nassau County, Inc.
1999
Ms. Freese is promoted to assistant dean and chairwoman of technical services at Hofstra University’s Joan and Donald E. Axinn Library.
2002
Ms. Freese authors “Fostering Communication and Understanding at Hofstra University’s Axinn Library” in PNLA Quarterly.
2012
Ms. Freese joins the Women’s Advance Club in Baldwin, New York.
