1932

Lester M. Gottlieb is born in New York City, New York to Eva and Samuel Gottlieb.

1954

Receives a Bachelor of Arts in economics from The City College of New York (CCNY) and then serves in the U.S. Army in Germany.

1955

Selected by the Army Officials Association to referee the 1955 American High School European Football Championship in Kaiserslautern, Germany.

1956

Completes postgraduate courses at New York University and becomes a sales representative at IBM, where he is promoted to various positions in the Data Processing Division.

1958

His first child, Mark Albert Gottlieb, is born.

1969

Founds Data Dimensions, Inc., a diversified data processing services company, which later goes public.

1977

Proclaimed an Honorary Ambassador by the Governor of Vermont.

1982

Founds CAMAC Equities Ltd., a vertically integrated real estate development company with 30 projects in 16 states.

1983

Elected to the Board of Directors of CCNY Alumni Association.

1986

His first grandchild, Carly Nicole Seward, is born.

1986

Appointed to the President’s Council by the Republican National Committee.

1987

Elected president of the Alumni Varsity Association of CCNY.

1989

Receives the Leo Klauber Award from CCNY.

1990

Receives the Mark Asa Abbott Award from CCNY.

1991

Receives the CCNY Alumni Award.

1992

Founds CAMAC Equities LLC for real estate, acquisition of businesses, and medical marketing.

1994

Named Volunteer of the Year by the Greater New York YMCA and is inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame at CCNY.

2014

Receives the title of Gold Life Master from the American Contract Bridge League.

2015

His first great-grandchild, Scarlett Charles Maher, is born.

2018

Honored as the namesake of the Lester Gottlieb Ultimate Teammate Award, an alumni-endowed scholarship given to participants in women’s sports.
