Rev. Obloy is born in Cleveland, Ohio to Henry Joseph and Ruth Elsie Obloy.

1973

Rev. Obloy receives a Bachelor of Arts from the Borromeo Seminary (now Borromeo College of Ohio).

1977

Rev. Obloy is ordained a priest in the Roman Catholic Church and becomes an Associate Pastor at St. Helen Parish in Newbury, Ohio.

1983

Rev. Obloy receives a Licentiate of Sacred Scripture from the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome, Italy.

1984

Rev. Obloy pursues postgraduate studies at the Pontifical Biblical Institute.

1984

Rev. Obloy becomes Associate Pastor at St. Rose of Lima Parish in Cleveland, Ohio.

1988

Rev. Obloy becomes an Assistant Professor of Sacred Scripture and Computer Science, and Vice Rector of Mount St. Mary’s Seminary in Emmitsburg, Maryland.

Rev. Obloy develops television shows on Sacred Scripture for PBS in New Orleans, Louisiana.
