Dr. Donohue receives a Doctor of Medicine in biomedical and health sciences from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.

1969

Dr. Donohue receives a Doctor of Philosophy in biomedical science from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.

1971

Dr. Donohue becomes a junior resident at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.

1974

Dr. Donohue becomes a senior resident at NC Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

1976

Dr. Donohue becomes a fellow of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

1995

Dr. Donohue is appointed director of clinical group pulmonary diseases at the School of Medicine at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

2002

Dr. Donohue is appointed chief of the Division of Pulmonary Diseases & Critical Care Medicine at the School of Medicine.

2010

Dr. Donohue is appointed chairman of the National American Thoracic Society Foundation.

Dr. Donohue is named a Distinguished Humanitarian by Marquis Who’s Who.
