A Timeline of Professional Milestones

1940

Dr. Avinor is born in Boston, Massachusetts to Joseph George and Frances Rita Zeitlen.

1970

Dr. Avinor receives a Bachelor of Arts in English language from the University of Haifa in Haifa, Israel.

1972

Dr. Avinor becomes a teacher and a researcher at the University of Haifa.

1981

Dr. Avinor receives a Master of Arts from the University of Haifa.

1990

Dr. Avinor receives a Doctor of Education from The University of New Mexico and becomes head of the department and academic director of KEG (Keys to Emotional Growth) Cards International.

1993

Dr. Avinor authors “A study of the relationships among multilingualism, learning style, and cognition,” published at the University of New Mexico.

2000

Dr. Avinor receives the Rector’s Committee Grant, through which she creates internet modules for foreign language courses.

2005

Dr. Avinor successfully completes a two-year post graduate course in Redecision therapy and psychotherapy with Dr. Vann Joines at the Southeast Institute of Psychotherapy in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

2006

Dr. Avinor studies at the Shiluv School of Psychotherapy in Isreal, completing the program in two years.

2007

Dr. Avinor becomes a psychotherapist in private mental health practice.

2009

Dr. Avinor creates KEG cards, two sided cards meant to help therapists get to the core issues of their clients.

2013

Dr. Avinor completes a three-year program in psychotherapy at the School of Psychotherapy in the Technion’s Rappaport Faculty of Medicine at the Rambam Health Care Campus in Haifa, Israel.

2013

Dr. Avinor serves as academic CEO of KEG Cards International.

2017

Dr. Avinor authors “Shirley: There is Not Enough,” published in the Psychology and Behavioral Science International Journal by Juniper Publishers.
