Dr. Rockwell is born in Columbus, Nebraska to Carrol Albert Becher and Lauretta Sussana Becher.

Dr. Rockwell becomes a graduate in nursing at Lincoln General Hospital in Nebraska.
1962
Dr. Rockwell marries Leroy V. Rockwell and receives a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Nebraska.
1962
Dr. Rockwell becomes an instructor at Lincoln General Hospital.
1965
Dr. Rockwell serves as acting assistant director of nursing education at Lincoln General Hospital.
1975
Dr. Rockwell receives a Master of Arts in adult and continuing education from the University of Nebraska.
1979
Dr. Rockwell becomes an evaluation technologist at the University of Nebraska.
1984
Dr. Rockwell receives a Doctor of Philosophy in community and human resources from the University of Nebraska.
1984
Dr. Rockwell becomes an evaluation specialist, an assistant professor in the Cooperative Extension Division, and a member of the advisory board of the Department of Adult Education and Social Foundation at the University of Nebraska.
1987
Dr. Rockwell becomes researcher-in-brief and editor of the Journal Extension.
1990
Dr. Rockwell is promoted to professor at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
1991
Dr. Rockwell receives a Certificate of Achievement from Epsilon Sigma Phi.
2000
Dr. Rockwell volunteers with the International Agricultural Degree Program Development Project at Moscow State Agro-Engineering University in Moscow, Russia.

Dr. Rockwell volunteers with the Kamuli District Farmers Association (KDFA) in Kamuli, Uganda.

Dr. Rockwell volunteers with Farmers Centre Ltd in Lira, Uganda.

Dr. Rockwell volunteers with the Kenya Drylands Development Program in Garissa, Kenya and the Catholic Dioceses of Kitui, Kenya.

Dr. Rockwell volunteers with the Kilombero District Council in Ifakara, Tanzania.

Dr. Rockwell is named a Distinguished Humanitarian and receives the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award from Marquis Who’s Who.

Dr. Rockwell begins a six-year project with Engineers Without Borders at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
