Earns a Bachelor of Science in biology and mathematics from the University of Michigan.

Obtains a Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Pennsylvania/Drexel College of Medicine.

1975

Is a resident in internal medicine at Lankenau Hospital in Philadelphia, PA until 1976.

1976

Is a resident in ophthalmology, fellow in neuro-ophthalmology and staff physician at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, PA through 1981.

1980

Becomes certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.

1980

Is a lecturer and faculty member of neuro-ophthalmology at Kenyatta Teaching Hospital, Tumu Tumu Hospital and the Univ. of Nairobi in Kenya.
