1987

Is an assistant unit leader and assistant camp director for the Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council until 2001.

1992

Earns a BS in interdisciplinary studies and edu./teaching of individuals in early childhood special edu. programs from Stephen F. Austin State University.

1992

Becomes a certified teacher and is an afterschool coordinator at the North Georgia YMCA.

1992

Is a substitute teacher at Nacogdoches Independent School District until 1994.

1992

Serves the Houston Ind. School District as a prekindergarten teacher, ECH lead teacher and member of multiple committees through today.

1994

Teaches prekindergarten and is the special education chairperson at Charles E. Eliot Elementary, continuing in the roles.

2003

Achieves a Master of Education in curriculum and instruction from Texas Wesleyan University.

2009

Receives the Star Award from the ChildBuilders Association.

2015

Obtains a Doctor of Education in early childhood education and teaching from Northcentral University.

2021

Continues to serve as department chair of special education and a member of the campus leadership team for the Houston Ind. School District.

2021

Holds membership with the Golden Key Honor Society, Kappa Delta Pi, Texas Classroom Teachers Assoc. and Assoc. of Curriculum and Development.
