1943

Ms. Langan is born in Cohoes, New York to Armand Rosario Thyot and Marie Rose Lemay.

1975

Ms. Langan becomes an environmental health assistant in Manchester, Connecticut.

1978

Ms. Langan becomes the code enforcement officer in Enfield, Connecticut.

1978

Ms. Langan receives a Plaque of Appreciation from Enfield Lancers.

1980

Ms. Langan studies courses at Asnuntuck Community College in Enfield, Connecticut.

1980

Ms. Langan is elected president of the Connecticut Association of Housing Code Enforcement Officials, Inc.

1982

Ms. Langan becomes the housing code enforcement officer in Wallingford, Connecticut.

1983

Ms. Langan becomes a housing specialist for the Judicial Department of the State of Connecticut, where she is assigned to the New Haven-Waterbury Judicial District.

1985

Ms. Langan serves on a study committee on a statewide housing code at the Connecticut General Assembly in Hartford, Connecticut.

1986

Ms. Langan studies courses at New Hampshire College.

1986

Ms. Langan serves as treasurer of the Connecticut Association of Housing Code Enforcement Officials, Inc.

1989

Ms. Langan is appointed to the Interim Study Committee of the State of Connecticut General Assembly’s Planning and Development Committee on a uniform statewide housing code.

1990

Ms. Langan receives a Plaque of Recognition for Community Mediation.

1992

Ms. Langan serves on the board of directors of the Connecticut Association of Housing Code Enforcement Officials, Inc.

1997

Ms. Langan retires from state service.

2006

The Marie A. Langan Scholarship is established by the Connecticut Association of Housing Code Enforcement Officials, Inc. in Ms. Langan’s honor.
