Born to Jinghe Liu and Zixian (Gao) in Yifa, China.

1981

Earns a Master of Arts in South Asian studies from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences & Peking University.

1984

Is an editor of and major contributor to “Encyclopedic Dictionary of Ethnology.”

1985

Is a Fulbright visiting professor at Oregon State University.

1986

Is awarded the title of honorary fellow by Society of Applied Anthropology and a contributor to “Chinese Encyclopedia.”

1988

Is an editor of and contributor to “New Encyclopedic Dictionary of Social Sciences.”

1989

Is co-chief editor of “Toward Modernization” and contributor to “Chinese Great Lexicon.”

1994

Co-founds Health King Enterprise & Balanceuticals Group and is included in “Who’s Who Among Asian Americans.”

1996

Contributes to “Encyclopedia of World Cultures, HRAF.”

1998

Is invited to Collegiate Press editorial advisory board.

2002

Immigrated to the United States.
