Dr. Davidson is born in Boston, Massachusetts to William Reed Davidson and Marilyn Rushfeld-Davidson.

1975

Dr. Davidson marries Carol Angulo and receives a Bachelor of Arts in biology with highest honors from the University of Delaware.

1979

Dr. Davidson receives a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania.

1979

Dr. Davidson becomes a medical intern at Pennsylvania Hospital (now Penn Medicine) of the University of Pennsylvania.

1980

Dr. Davidson becomes a resident in medicine at Pennsylvania Hospital and is certified as a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners.

1980

Dr. Davidson becomes a clinical instructor of medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.

1982

Dr. Davidson becomes a fellow in medicine in the Cardiology Unit of the University of Rochester Medical Center. He is also certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Davidson becomes an instructor of medicine at the University of Rochester.

1985

Dr. Davidson is certified as a Diplomate in cardiovascular diseases of the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Davidson becomes an assistant professor of medicine at The Milton S. Hershey Medical Center (now Penn State Health) at The Pennsylvania State University.

Dr. Davidson is promoted to associate professor of medicine at The Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.

1992

Dr. Davidson becomes a tenured associate professor of medicine at The Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.

1996

Dr. Davidson is certified as a Diplomate of the National Board of Echocardiography.

1998

Dr. Davidson is appointed medical director of the Cardiac Ultrasound School at Harrisburg Area Community College.

2002

Dr. Davidson is promoted to full professor of medicine at The Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.

2004

Dr. Davidson serves as an editorial board member of the Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography.

2014

Dr. Davidson receives the Education Recognition Award from the Department of Medicine Education.
