Dr. Rothstein is born to Meyer and Bertha Ann Rothstein.

1959

Dr. Rothstein receives a Bachelor of Arts from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

1961

Dr. Rothstein receives a Master of Arts from the University of Minnesota.

1964

Dr. Rothstein becomes a research analyst for Prudential Financial, Inc. in Newark, New Jersey.

1965

Dr. Rothstein receives a Doctor of Philosophy from Cornell University.

1966

Dr. Rothstein becomes an assistant and then associate professor at the University of Maryland in Baltimore County, Maryland.

1972

Dr. Rothstein authors “American Physicians in the 19th Century.”

1987

Dr. Rothstein authors “American Medical Schools and the Practice of Medicine.”

1988

Dr. Rothstein is promoted to full professor at the University of Maryland.

1995

Dr. Rothstein authors and edits “Readings in American Health Care.”

2003

Dr. Rothstein authors “Public Health and The Risk Factor.”

2013

Dr. Rothstein becomes Emeritus Professor at the University of Maryland.
