Mr. Woods is born in Boston, Massachusetts to Thomas and Lucy Woods.

Mr. Woods receives a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University.
1952
Mr. Woods joins the U.S. Air Force and receives a Master of Business Administration from the Graduate School of Business Administration at Harvard University.
1955
Mr. Woods becomes a research assistant at Harvard Business School in Boston.
1956
Mr. Woods joins the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in Akron, Ohio as a trainee, eventually becoming a Production Manager.
1967
Mr. Woods is appointed manager and vice president of the Midwest region of Rath & Strong, Inc., headquartered in Lexington, Massachusetts.
1980
Mr. Woods is appointed vice president of Reddy, Traver & Woods, Inc. in Winnetka, Illinois.
1985
Mr. Woods becomes the president of Tom Woods, Inc., Management Consultants.
2000
Mr. Woods retires from management consulting.
