Born to Wayne Lane and Maxie Draughon McCoy in Hominy, OK.

1964

Earns a Bachelor of Arts with a triple major in mathematics, psychology and sociology from the University of Oklahoma.

1966

Earns a Master of Social Work with honors from Washington University in St. Louis, MO.

1975

Earns a Doctor of Jurisprudence with honors from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, TX and becomes licensed to practice law in Texas.

1976

Is an assistant professor and Director of Placement and Alumni Relations at St. Mary’s University School of Law through 1979.

1976

Is an author and contributor to numerous publications and a presenter, co-presenter, lecturer and panelist in family law through 2021.

1978

Serves on the Board of Directors of the Bexar County Mental Health-Mental Retardation Center (now Center for Health Care Services) until 1987.

1979

Is an attorney at the Law Office of Sue M. Hall and continues in the role.

1980

Earns certification in Family Law through the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, which continues to date.

1981

Serves on the City of San Antonio Fine Arts Commission until 1985.

1986

Receives the Belvah Lockwood Outstanding Lawyer Award from the Bexar County Women’s Bar Association.

1987

Serves the San Antonio Bar Association as the first woman treasurer, secretary and vice president until 1990.

Serves on the Board of Directors of the San Antonio Federal Credit Union (now Credit Human) until 1996.

1990

Becomes the first woman to be president of the San Antonio Bar Association, serving until 1991.

1991

Serves on the Board of Directors of the State Bar of Texas through 1994.

Becomes a member of the Congregation of Divine Providence Investment Advisory Committee to present.

2009

Receives the Joe Frasier Brown Sr. Award of Excellence from the San Antonio Bar Association.

Holds membership with the San Antonio Bar Association, Bar Foundation and Family Lawyers Association & the Bexar County Women’s Bar Association.
