Dr. Masotti is born in New York City, New York to Henry and Angela Masotti.

1956

Dr. Masotti receives a Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University and is commissioned as an ensign in the United States Navy Reserve.

1961

Dr. Masotti receives a Master of Arts in political science from Northwestern University.

1962

Dr. Masotti becomes a Fellow of the National Center for Education in Politics.

1963

Dr. Masotti becomes an assistant professor of political science at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.

1964

Dr. Masotti receives a Doctor of Philosophy in political science from Northwestern University.

1967

Dr. Masotti is promoted to associate professor at Case Western Reserve University and receives a Distinguished Service Award from the Cleveland Jaycees.

1967

Dr. Masotti authors “Education and Politics in Suburbia.”

1968

Dr. Masotti is appointed director of the Civil Violence Research Center at Case Western University.

1969

Dr. Masotti becomes a Senior Fulbright Fellow at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies in Bologna, Italy.

1969

Dr. Masotti authors “Shootout in Cleveland” and “A Time to Burn?”

1970

Dr. Masotti becomes an associate professor at the Northwestern University.

1971

Dr. Masotti is appointed director of the Center of Urban Affairs at Northwestern University.

1972

Dr. Masotti is promoted to full professor of political science and urban affairs at Northwestern University.

1973

Dr. Masotti authors “Suburbia in Transition.”

1976

Dr. Masotti authors “The New Urban Politics” and “The City in Comparative Perspective.”

1979

Dr. Masotti is appointed director of the Program in Public and Not-for-Profit Management in the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

1983

Dr. Masotti becomes a professor of management and urban development at the Kellogg School of Management.
