Dr. Dumas receives a Bachelor of Arts from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas.

1961

Dr. Dumas receives a Master of Arts from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas, where he also becomes a graduate assistant.

1964

Dr. Dumas becomes an instructor at Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri.

1966

Dr. Dumas becomes an assistant professor at Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

1971

Dr. Dumas receives a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Arkansas.

1972

Dr. Dumas receives a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities.

1973

Dr. Dumas becomes an assistant professor at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas.

1974

Dr. Dumas becomes a full professor at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

1983

Dr. Dumas serves as an independent consultant and expert witness in Knoxville, Tennessee.

1985

Dr. Dumas receives a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the College of Law at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

Dr. Dumas is named Professor Emeritus at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

2017

Dr. Dumas is honored with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award from Marquis Who’s Who.
