The Rev. Dr. Maloney is born in Houston, Texas to David Bruce and Alta Marguerite Mitchell.

1956

The Rev. Dr. Maloney becomes a National Merit Scholar.

1965

The Rev. Dr. Maloney receives a Bachelor of Arts from Saint Louis University.

1968

The Rev. Dr. Maloney receives a Doctor of Philosophy from Saint Louis University.

1969

The Rev. Dr. Maloney receives a postdoctoral fellowship from the Smithsonian Institute.

1975

The Rev. Dr. Maloney co-founds the women’s studies program at the University of South Carolina.

1981

The Rev. Dr. Maloney receives a Master of International Business Studies from University of South Carolina.

1983

The Rev. Dr. Maloney receives a Master of Arts from Saint Louis University.

1986

The Rev. Dr. Maloney authors “The Captain from Connecticut.”

1989

The Rev. Dr. Maloney begins her career as an assistant professor of the New Testament at the Franciscan School of Theology in Berkeley, California.

The Rev. Dr. Maloney receives a Doctor of Theology from the University of Tübingen in Germany.

1991

The Rev. Dr. Maloney is promoted to associate professor at the Franciscan School of Theology.

2003

The Rev. Dr. Maloney becomes an ordained priest through the Episcopal Church.

2005

The Rev. Dr. Maloney becomes a priest-in-partnership at St. Matthews Episcopal Church in Enosburg Falls, Vermont.

2010

The Rev. Dr. Maloney serves as the interim pastor at Calvary Episcopal Church in Underhill, Vermont.

The Rev. Dr. Maloney is appointed trustee of the Vermont Ecumenical and Bible Society.
