Dr. Battilega is born in Portland, Oregon to Ercole Anthony and Odelia Frances Battilega.

1961

Dr. Battilega becomes a research assistant at Tektronix, Inc. in Beaverton, Oregon.

1963

Dr. Battilega graduates magna cum laude from Gonzaga University with a Bachelor of Science.

1963

Dr. Battilega joins the U.S. Army as a Major.

1964

Dr. Battilega marries Nancy Ann Scott.

1965

Dr. Battilega becomes a research assistant at Sandia National Laboratories in Livermore, California.

1968

Dr. Battilega receives a Meritorious Service Medal, a Bronze Star, and the Decorated Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry from the U.S. Army.

1971

Dr. Battilega becomes a staff engineer for Martin Marietta Corporation in Denver, Colorado.

1973

Dr. Battilega receives a Doctor of Philosophy from Oregon State University.

1973

Dr. Battilega is appointed corporate vice president, general manager, and research director of Science Applications International Corporation in Englewood, Colorado.

1984

Dr. Battilega authors and edits “The Military Applications of Modeling.”

Dr. Battilega is appointed president of John Battilega Associates in Littleton, Colorado.

Dr. Battilega serves as an adjunct professor and senior lecturer at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver.

Dr. Battilega becomes senior technical director of Science Applications International Corporation and Leidos Corporation.

2017

Dr. Battilega is honored with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award from Marquis Who’s Who.
