Is director of the National Council of the Churches of Christ in the USA’s Summer Program for Migrant Children in Albany, NY.

1966

Is a teacher and educational consultant for the Atlanta Public Schools until 1998.

1969

Achieves a Master of Arts in elementary education from Clark Atlanta University.

1997

Obtains a Doctor of Philosophy in education from LaSalle University in Mandeville, LA.

1999

Receives a James And Emma Todd Achievement Award.

2000

Receives the Dr. Grant S. Shockley Memorial Achievement Award from the Interdenominational Theological Center.

Attains a Master of Divinity from Gammon Theological Seminary in Atlanta, GA; Receives an Internship Award from Ben Hill UMC.
