Mr. Schwier is born in Cincinnati, Ohio to George Walter and Alma Catherine Schwier.

1968

Mr. Schwier studies at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland as a Trident Scholar.

1969

Mr. Schwier graduates from the U.S. Naval Academy and is commissioned as an ensign.

1969

Mr. Schwier receives a Bachelor of Science in aeronautical engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy.

1970

Mr. Schwier becomes the main propulsion assistant aboard the USS Eugene A. Greene.

1973

Mr. Schwier becomes the engineer officer aboard the USS Reasoner.

1975

Mr. Schwier becomes Material Officer of Destroyer Squadron 15 of the U.S. Navy in Yokusuka, Japan.

1980

Mr. Schwier receives a Master of Science in weapons systems technology from Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California.

1980

Mr. Schwier becomes executive officer aboard the USS Estocin.

1982

Mr. Schwier becomes flag secretary and aide for the Commander Naval Surface Force Atlantic Fleet.

1989

Mr. Schwier advances through the grades to Captain in the U.S. Navy.

1989

Mr. Schwier serves as director of operations of Joint Task Force in the Middle East.

1990

Mr. Schwier becomes comptroller of Norfolk & Charleston Naval Shipyards for one year.

1993

Mr. Schwier is named Comptroller of the Year by the American Society of Military Comptrollers.

1993

Mr. Schwier becomes commanding officer of the Naval Welfare Assessment Division in Corona, California.

1995

Mr. Schwier retires from the U.S. Navy.

1996

Mr. Schwier becomes a manager of Fluor-Daniel Hanford in Richland, Washington.

2004

Mr. Schwier is named Member of the Year by the National Management Association.

2012

Mr. Schwier retires from Mission Support Alliance in Richland, Washington.
