Mr. Welch is born in Sewanee, Tennessee to James Tracy and Rachel Catherine Welch.

1948

Mr. Welch studies at The George Washington University.

1952

Mr. Welch receives a Bachelor of Commercial Science from Benjamin Franklin University (now The George Washington University).

1952

Mr. Welch becomes an accountant at Lamon & Henderson in Washington, D.C.

1953

Mr. Welch receives a Master of Commerical Science from Benjamin Franklin University.

1954

Mr. Welch becomes treasurer and chief financial officer of the Association of the United States Army.

1961

Mr. Welch serves as a Captain in the U.S. Army.

1972

Mr. Welch earns the Certified Administrative Manager designation.

1980

Mr. Welch is elected International President of the Administrative Management Society (AMS) and is the founding President of the AMS Foundation.

1987

Mr. Welch becomes president of the board of directors of The Silver Thistle, Ltd.

1989

Mr. Welch is elected Chairman of the Washington Association Financial Management Roundtable.

1992

Mr. Welch becomes vice president of finance and administration at the Association of the United States Army.
