Dr. Gutteridge is born in Flint, Michigan to George Ernest and Mary Ruth Gutteridge.

1964

Dr. Gutteridge becomes a safety engineer for Buick Motors in Flint, Michigan.

1965

Dr. Gutteridge marries Judith Kay Grubbs Gutteridge.

1965

Dr. Gutteridge receives a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering from General Motors Institute in Flint, Michigan.

1966

Dr. Gutteridge welcomes the birth of his daughter, Theresa.

1966

Dr. Gutteridge receives a Master of Science in industrial administration from Purdue University in Lafayette, Indiana.

1966

Dr. Gutteridge serves as a corporate recruiter for Industrial Nucleonics in Columbus, Ohio.

1967

Dr. Gutteridge becomes a teaching assistant at Purdue University.

1970

Dr. Gutteridge welcomes the birth of his daughter, Debbie.

Dr. Gutteridge becomes an assistant and then associate professor at the State University of New York.

Dr. Gutteridge writes his dissertation and receives a Doctor of Philosophy in industrial administration from Purdue University.

Dr. Gutteridge welcomes the birth of his daughter, Cindy.

Dr. Gutteridge becomes dean and a full professor at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois.

Dr. Gutteridge receives the Career Development Award from the American Society for Training and Development.
