1944

Dr. Evans is born in East St. Louis, Illinois to Clemmie and Catherine Mathis.

1967

Dr. Evans receives a Bachelor of Science in zoology with honors from the University of Illinois.

1968

Dr. Evans marries Timothy Charles Evans.

1969

Dr. Evans receives a Doctor of Medicine from The University of Illinois at Chicago and becomes an intern and then resident at the University of Illinois Hospital.

1970

Dr. Evans receives a license to practice medicine in the state of Illinois.

1971

Dr. Evans becomes a Fellow of Pulmonary Medicine at the University of Illinois Hospital.

1972

Dr. Evans receives a grant from the Chicago Lung Association.

1973

Dr. Evans is appointed medical director of the Acute Care Unit at Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago.

1973

Dr. Evans becomes an instructor at Rush Medical College.

1975

Dr. Evans becomes assistant to the director of emergency services at Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center.

1976

Dr. Evans becomes the tuberculosis control officer in the Infectious Disease Section of the Chicago Department of Health.

1977

Dr. Evans becomes a staff physician at Health Specialists.

1980

Dr. Evans becomes a staff physician at Western Electric (now AT&T Technologies, Inc.) in Cicero, Illinois.

1985

Dr. Evans becomes a staff physician at Health First, Inc.

1989

Dr. Evans becomes a staff physician at Michael Reese Health Plan.

1998

Dr. Evans becomes a member of the advisory board of Advocate Professional Group.

2000

Dr. Evans joins the board of directors of Advocate Health Care Network.
