Dr. Schopp is born in Waterloo, New York to Edward Arthur and Emma Pauline Schopp.

1966

Dr. Schopp receives a Bachelor of Science in music education from Ithaca College.

1967

Dr. Schopp receives a Master of Science in music education from the University of Illinois.

1967

Dr. Schopp becomes a music teacher for Syosset Central School District in New York.

1977

Dr. Schopp serves as president of the Nassau Music Educators Association.

1980

Dr. Schopp receives a professional diploma from Long Island University Post.

1980

Dr. Schopp is appointed head of the music department of Syosset Central School District.

1984

Dr. Schopp serves as president of the New York State Council Administration of Music Education.

1985

Dr. Schopp serves as principal of Syosset Summer High School.

1987

Dr. Schopp serves as chairman of the Camerata Youth Orchestra in Long Island, New York.

1988

Dr. Schopp serves as president of the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA).

1991

Dr. Schopp becomes a band director at the Usdan Center for Performing Arts.

1993

Dr. Schopp becomes president of the eastern division of the Music Educators National Conference.

Dr. Schopp receives the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra Distinguished Service Award.

Dr. Schopp receives a Doctor of Education in music education from Columbia University.
