Ms. Evans is born in Amherst, Massachusetts to Alfred George and Isabelle Wheeler.

1956

Ms. Evans receives a Bachelor of Science from Grove City College.

1956

Ms. Evans becomes a teacher at East Washington High School in Pennsylvania.

1974

Ms. Evans becomes coordinator of the Learning Laboratory at Cumberland County College in Vineland, New Jersey.

1979

Ms. Evans becomes a mathematics instructor at Cumberland County College.

1980

Ms. Evans receives a Master of Arts from Glassboro State College.

1984

Ms. Evans is appointed director of the Success Center at Cumberland County College.

1988

Ms. Evans receives the Literacy Award from the International Reading Association.

1989

Ms. Evans serves as a trainer and tutor and becomes chairperson of the Board of Directors of Literacy Volunteers of America.

1990

Ms. Evans receives a Literacy Citation from the State Assembly of New Jersey.

1991

Ms. Evans serves as project director of the Retention Initiative Project.

1991

Ms. Evans serves as project director of the National Workplace Literacy Project in Millville, New Jersey.

Ms. Evans retires from her profession.
