Dr. Michalik is born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Edmund Richard and Martha Michalik.

1969

Dr. Michalik receives a Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern University.

1974

Dr. Michalik receives a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh.

1974

Dr. Michalik becomes an intern and then resident in general surgery at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.

1978

Dr. Michalik served with the U.S. Public Health Service.

1980

Dr. Michalik becomes a resident in cardiac surgery at the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia.

1982

Dr. Michalik becomes an associate surgeon at the Emory University School of Medicine.

1985

Dr. Michalik becomes a cardiac surgeon at Cardiac & Thoracic Surgery East Tennessee in Kingsport, Tennessee.

1985

Dr. Michalik becomes a clinical associate professor of surgery at the East Tennessee State University School of Medicine (Quillen College of Medicine).

1993

Dr. Michalik becomes a board member of the Church Hill Community Chest.

2011

Dr. Michalik becomes medical director of the Pre-Hospital Board in Church Hill, Tennessee.

2016

Dr. Michalik joins the Emergency Medical Services Advisory Committee in Hawkins County, Tennessee.

2019

Dr. Michalik is reappointed to the Emergency Medical Services Advisory Committee.
