1953

Mr. Coppedge serves as a Third Class Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy.

1954

Mr. Coppedge marries Martha Alice McGhee.

1956

Mr. Coppedge receives an Associate of Arts from NEO A&M College.

1958

Mr. Coppedge receives a Bachelor of Science in geological engineering from the University of Oklahoma.

1959

Mr. Coppedge becomes a geological engineer for Tenneco Oil Co. in Great Bend, Kansas.

1966

For the next seven years, Mr. Coppedge serves as a district and then division geological engineer for Tenneco Oil Co. in Casper, Wyoming; Midland, Texas; Lafayette, Louisiana; and Houston, Texas.

1973

Mr. Coppedge becomes vice president of exploration for Southwestern Gas Pipeline in Dallas, Texas.

1976

Mr. Coppedge serves as a consulting geologist in Dallas, Texas.

1977

Mr. Coppedge becomes president of Coppedge Oil & Gas, Inc. in Plano, Texas.
