Born in Revere, Massachusetts, to Guy and Mary Carmella Ferrante.

1970

Receives a Bachelor of Arts from Regis College.

1971

Receives a Master of Education from Boston College.

1971

Appointed chairman of the Braille Department of National Braille Press in Boston, Massachusetts.

1974

Completes postgraduate courses at Middlebury College.

1974

Becomes a traveling teacher for the visually impaired at Revere High School and at more than 50 other schools.

1977

Completes postgraduate courses at Boston College.

1982

Completes postgraduate courses at Lesley University.

1984

Serves as a consultant for the Revere PTA.

1993

Joins the Steven J. Rich Scholarship Committee.

1998

Serves as vice president of publicist for the Revere Society for Cultural and Historical Preservation; becomes a lifetime member of the organization.
