Dr. Berta is born in Van Nuys, California to Alexander Rocco and Patricia Ann Yguado.

1984

Dr. Berta joins the Military Police Corps of the U.S. Army.

1986

Dr. Berta marries Brad Braden Berta.

1989

Dr. Berta receives an Associate of Science in mathematics and science from the College of the Canyons.

1992

Dr. Berta becomes a Marec Fellow of California State University in Northridge, California.

1992

Dr. Berta becomes an intern at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Golden, Colorado.

1993

Dr. Berta receives a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from California State University.

1994

Dr. Berta becomes a teaching assistant at the University of Nebraska as a Larson Minority Graduate Fellow.

1996

Dr. Berta receives a Master of Science in mathematics and statistics the University of Nebraska and becomes executive director of Berta Engineering in Laguna Hills, California.

1998

Dr. Berta becomes an adjunct instructor of mathematics at Santiago Canyon College in Orange, California and at Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, California.

1998

Dr. Berta becomes a professor of mathematics at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, California.

2007

Dr. Berta receives a Doctor of Education in education leadership from Argosy University.

2007

Dr. Berta becomes a Teach 3 Director at Orange Coast College.

2008

Dr. Berta is appointed Basic Skill Initiative Chair, Student Success Center Director, and Title III Project Director at Orange Coast College.

2017

Dr. Berta is honored with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award from Marquis Who’s Who.
