Born to Sanford Griffin and Virginia Griffin in Dilliner, Pennsylvania.

1958

Earns a diploma from the Washington School of Nursing.

1958

Serves as a general staff nurse at St. Vincent Pallott Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia.

1960

Teaches as an instructor at King’s Daughters’ Hospital School of Nursing in Martinsburg, West Virginia.

1961

Employed by West Virginia University Hospital and works in various positions until her resignation in June 1991.

1971

Participated in a research project set forth by the Southern Regional Education Board until 1974.

1981

Earns a Bachelor of Science from West Virginia University.

1989

Earns a certificate in nursing administration from the University of Minnesota.

1986

Is on the advanced board of the Chavez County Ambulance in Roswell, New Mexico.

1991

Becomes the director of nursing at the Eastern New Mexico Medical Center.

1992

Is the vice president of patient care services at the Eastern New Mexico Medical Center.

Is a scholarship reviewer for the American Organization of Nurse Executives.
