Serves in the Army Nurse Corps for 24 years, spending time as a nurse in Vietnam.

1971

Receives a Bronze Star for her service in Vietnam.

1986

Earns a Master of Science in nursing administration from the University of Texas.

1986

Is a head nurse in the emergency room at the Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, HI until 1987.

1988

Is an evening night supervisor at the Tripler Army Medical Center until 1990.

1988

Receives an Award for Outstanding Service in the Army Nurse Corps from the Department of the Army.

1990

Is the chief of ambulatory nursing, in charge of 20 clinics, at the Tripler Army Medical Center until 1992.

1992

Commences her retirement from the U.S. Army.

1992

Works at a nursing home until 1993.

2021

Holds four Army Commendation Medals and two Vietnam Service Medals.
