1936

Born to Leroy Priess and Biona L. Priess in Stafford, KS.

1969

Begins working as an engineer for NASA-JSC.

1974

Receives the Skylab Achievement Award and the NASA Group Achievement Award with the Earth Resources Experiment Team, from NASA.

1975

Receives the NASA Group Achievement Award for his work with the ASTP Atmospheric Electricity Team at NASA.

1978

Earns the NASA Special Award from the Approach and Landing Test Program at NASA.

1986

Serves as a Lieutenant Colonel within the United States National Guard.

2005

Receives a Recognition of Excellence from NASA.

2009

Receives the Superior Accomplishment Award for Exemplary Support to the Flight Crew Operations Directorate from NASA.

2010

Is named King of Krewe in the Bahamas.

2013

Retires as an engineer for NASA-JSC.

2014

Is inducted into Stafford High School’s Stafford Kansas Hall of Fame in October.

2017

Is named King of Gambrinus.

2018

Is named a permanent contributing member to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.

2019

Receives the 50 Years of Federal Service Award from NASA in Houston, TX.

2020

Maintains lifetime membership with organizations such as Masonic Blue Lodge, Scottish Rite and Shriners International.
