Ms. Brassard is born in Harlingen, Texas to Gaston Paul Junior and Jewel Aline Jennet.

1971

Ms. Brassard receives a Bachelor of Science in secondary education from the University of Texas.

1971

Ms. Brassard becomes an English and language arts teacher for Silsbee Independent School District in Texas.

1972

Ms. Brassard becomes an eighth grade teacher at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic School in Houston, Texas.

1973

Ms. Brassard becomes a high school English teacher for the South Park/Beaumont Independent School District in Texas.

1975

Ms. Brassard receives a Master of Education in supervision from Lamar University.

1975

Ms. Brassard authors “High School Basic Curriculum.”

1980

Ms. Brassard is named Outstanding Teacher of the Year in the South Park Independent School District.

1986

Ms. Brassard is named one of 10 Outstanding Teachers by Quality Education of Beaumont.

1996

Ms. Brassard serves as a member of the Texas State School Improvement Initiative of the Texas Education Agency in Austin, Texas.

1997

Ms. Brassard co-authors the 10th grade Gifted and Talented curriculum.

2005

Ms. Brassard retires as an educator.

2005

Ms. Brassard establishes Miz B’s Tutorials and Education Consultant in Beaumont, Texas where she serves as an instructor.

2007

Ms. Brassard becomes a fellow of the Center Reform of School Systems.
