Twice-receives Distinguished Flying Crosses from the U.S. Air Force.

Obtains a Master of Business Administration from Auburn University.

Receives the Legion of Merit from the U.S. Air Force.

Works for the Office of Personnel Management in the State of Oklahoma until 1997.

Advances to become the director of operations for the Office of Personnel Management.
