Receives a Doctor of Education from the University of San Francisco.

1983

Becomes an assistant professor in the Department of Nursing at California State University Stanislaus in Turlock, California.

1992

Elected president of Region 8 of the California Nurses Association.

1992

Becomes an associate professor in the Department of Physical Education and Health at California State University Stanislaus.

1999

Appointed managing editor of the peer review section of the CAHPERD Journal Times.

2000

Serves as vice president of the Health Division of the California Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.

Appointed to the board of associate editors of the American Journal of Health Education.
