Dr. Grover is born Klamath Falls, Oregon to James Richard and Marjorie Alida Grover.

1946

Dr. Grover joins the U.S. Navy.

1952

Dr. Grover graduates summa cum laude as valedictorian of his class at the University of Washington, where he receives a Bachelor of Science.

1957

Dr. Grover marries Barbara Jean Ton and becomes a research associate at Brookhaven National Laboratory in Upton, New York.

1958

Dr. Grover receives a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of California, Berkeley.

1959

Dr. Grover is promoted to associate chemist at Brookhaven National Laboratory.

1962

Dr. Grover becomes a consultant at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.

1963

Dr. Grover is promoted to full chemist at Brookhaven National Laboratory.

1967

Dr. Grover serves as the associate editor of The Annual Reviews of Nuclear Science for Annual Reviews Inc. in Palo Alto, California.

1967

Dr. Grover becomes a chemist with tenure at Brookhaven National Laboratory.

1975

Dr. Grover serves as a visiting scientist at the Max Plank Institute for Research in Fluid Dynamics in Göttingen, Germany.

1978

Dr. Grover is promoted to senior chemist at Brookhaven National Laboratory.

1986

Dr. Grover serves as a visiting professor at the Institute for Molecular Science in Okazaki, Japan.

1989

Dr. Grover is appointed chairman of Nuclear Chemistry and Technology at the American Chemical Society.

1993

Dr. Grover becomes a research collaborator at Brookhaven National Laboratory.
