Graduates from St. John’s College, Agra in India.

Receives a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from Christian Medical College in Ludhiana, India.

1967

Begins an internship at Christian Medical College.

1968

Begins a residency at Christian Medical College.

1969

Becomes an intern at Middlesex General Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

1970

Becomes a resident in internal medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.

1972

Becomes a trainee in rheumatology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

1975

Serves as a consultant for the Mayo Clinic.

1979

Immigrates to the United States.

1995

Becomes John Finn Professor of Medicine at the Mayo Medical School.

1996

Is appointed chairman of the Division of Rheumatology at the Mayo Medical School.
