Dr. Kash is born in Nashville, Tennessee to Roscoe Conkling and Ladye Ruth Kash.

1959

Dr. Kash receives a Bachelor of Arts in English from Vanderbilt University.

1962

Dr. Kash receives a Master of Arts in English from Vanderbilt University.

1963

Dr. Kash becomes an instructor at Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, Tennessee.

1966

Dr. Kash is promoted to assistant professor at Tennessee Tech University.

1970

Dr. Kash marries Bettye Ruth Choate.

1972

Dr. Kash becomes an associate instructor of folklore at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.

1979

Dr. Kash serves as president of the Tennessee Folklore Society.

1980

Dr. Kash receives a Doctor of Philosophy in folklore from Indiana University.

1983

Dr. Kash serves as a Fulbright Professor at the University of Bordeaux in France.

1984

Dr. Kash becomes an associate professor of English at Tennessee Tech University.
