Dr. Reed receives a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University.

Dr. Reed joins the U.S. Army as a private.

1947

Dr. Reed becomes a captain in the U.S. Army.

1951

Dr. Reed receives a Doctor of Medicine from New York University Langone Medical Center.

1956

Dr. Reed becomes a fellow in surgery at New York University Langone Medical Center.

Dr. Reed establishes the Surgical Research Laboratory and the Large Animal Surgical Laboratory.
