A Timeline of Professional Milestones

1969

Graduates from high school.

1971

Serves in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War until 1974.

1998

Receives his first Black Belt.

2003

Teaches as a Taekwondo master at Phoenix Martial Arts Center and continues in the role.

2006

Is a police officer with the Southern Methodist University Police Department until 2012.

2011

Is honored as Officer of the Year by the Southern Methodist University Police Department.

2018

Serves as a deputy sheriff with the Collin County Sheriff’s Office and continues in the role.

2019

Is honored as Reserve Deputy of the Year by the Collin County Sheriff’s Office.

2020

Works for the Mesquite Marshal’s Office and Mesquite Municipal Court, remaining in the positions.

2020

Returns to working as a police officer with the Southern Methodist University Police Department, remaining in the role.

2021

Maintains membership with the American Legion Post 117.
