1961

Ms. Fisher receives a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Carnegie Institute of Technology (Carnegie Mellon University).

1969

Ms. Fisher is published in “Light 7,” Aperture’s fine arts photography quarterly curated by Minor White.

1972

Ms. Fisher is awarded First Prize in the Photovision ’72 of New England Photographers at the Boston Center for the Arts.

1973

Ms. Fisher receives a National Endowment for the Arts Award.

1973

Ms. Fisher holds a one-woman show at Light Gallery in New York City, New York.

1973

Ms. Fisher becomes a Professor of Photography in the Design Department at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.

1975

Ms. Fisher holds a one-artist exhibition at the Image Gallery in Stockbridge, Massachusetts.

1978

Ms. Fisher is elected president of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth Faculty Federation Union.

Ms. Fisher is published in “In/Sights: Self Portraits by Women,” published by David R. Godine Publishers in Boston, Massachusetts.

Ms. Fisher receives a Master of Design Studies from Harvard University.

Ms. Fisher is published by invitation in “American Artists,” a survey of leading contemporary artists.

Ms. Fisher is awarded the Best of Exhibition in the East Texas International Photo Exhibition by the East Texas State University Photo Society.

Ms. Fisher is elected Chair of the Design Department for four years. She previously served as interim chair in 1980 and 1990.

Ms. Fisher holds a one-artist exhibition at Michigan State University’s LightFantastic Gallery in East Lansing, Michigan.

1992

Ms. Fisher holds a two-artist invitational exhibition at Harvard University’s Carpenter Center Gallery.

1999

Ms. Fisher is awarded First Prize at the International Art Association of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

2000

Ms. Fisher is named Scholar of the Year at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.

Ms. Fisher participates in a three-artist portfolio exhibition at the Belmont Gallery of Art in Massachusetts.
