Mr. DiFonzo is born in West Chester, Pennsylvania to Donato and Anna Rose DiFonzo.

1962

Mr. DiFonzo marries Sharon Lee Cowgill and receives a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Villanova University.

1962

Mr. DiFonzo becomes a development engineer at American Electronic Laboratories in Colmar, Pennsylvania.

1966

Mr. DiFonzo becomes senior engineer at Bunker-Ramo Corporation in Canoga Park, California.

1969

Mr. DiFonzo joins the technical staff of COMSAT Laboratories in Clarksburg, Maryland.

1972

Mr. DiFonzo receives a Master of Science in Engineering from California State University, Northridge.

1981

Mr. DiFonzo becomes director of the Antenna and Propagation Laboratory at COMSAT Laboratories.

1983

Mr. DiFonzo becomes associate director of the Microwave Technology Division of COMSAT Laboratories.

1984

Mr. DiFonzo becomes senior director of corporate development at Communications Satellite Corporation in Washington, D.C.

1985

Mr. DiFonzo is appointed vice president and assistant director of COMSAT Laboratories.

Mr. DiFonzo is appointed vice president and general manager of COMSAT Systems Division.

Mr. DiFonzo joins the Communications and Information Policy Committee of IEEE.

Mr. DiFonzo is appointed president of Planar Communications Corporation.
