1936

Born on April 5 in Buck Horn, KY.

1955

Serves as a military policeman in the United States Air Force until 1964.

1964

Serves as a command post controller until 1969.

1966

Receives an Air Force Commendation Medal.

1969

Earns a Bachelor of Science in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from American International College, graduating third in class.

1969

Is a distinguished graduate of Air Force Officer Training School and is commissioned a second lieutenant.

1969

Receives the Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm from the South Vietnamese Government.

1969

Receives a Bronze Star and an Air Medal for combat support missions during the Vietnam War from the U.S. Air Force.

1969

Works in human resources until 1985 and receives five Meritorious Medals.

1970

Is designated the Outstanding Honor Graduate of the Air Force Personnel School; Is selected and appointed to the Regular Air Force.

1976

Earns a Master of Science in Business Administration from the Eisenberg School of Business at the University of Massachusetts.

1976

Is named a Distinguished Graduate by the Air Force Institute of Technology; Is selected Junior Officer of the Year for Air Training Command.

1976

Is selected for promotion to Major three years ahead of schedule and is identified for attendance of the Armed Forces Staff College.

1979

Graduates from the Armed Forces Staff College in Norfolk, VA.

1980

Is selected for promotion to Lieutenant Colonel and attendance of the Air War College.

1985

Retires from the Air Force and becomes a self-employed real estate broker, remaining in the role until 2010.

1992

Becomes a Colonel in the Kentucky Colonels and maintains membership.
