1944

Ms. Savoy is born in New Orleans, Louisiana to Frank Peter and Bobby Adrienne Savoy.

1966

Ms. Savoy receives a Bachelor of Arts from Louisiana State University.

1969

Ms. Savoy becomes an art teacher at St. Martin’s School in Detroit, Michigan.

1970

Ms. Savoy receives a Master of Fine Arts from Wayne State University, where she also serves as a graduate assistant.

1970

Ms. Savoy has a solo exhibition at the University Art Gallery at Wayne State University.

1972

Ms. Savoy has a solo exhibition at the New Orleans Museum of Art.

1973

Ms. Savoy becomes an assistant professor of fine arts at Louisiana State University.

1975

Ms. Savoy joins the art committee of the R.S. Barnwell Garden and Art Center.

1976

Ms. Savoy serves as chair of the art committee of the R.S. Barnwell Garden and Art Center.

1978

Ms. Savoy becomes a full professor at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

1983

Ms. Savoy has a solo exhibition at the University Art Center at the University of Southwest Louisiana.

1985

Ms. Savoy receives the Instruction and Improvement Grant for two consecutive years.

1987

Ms. Savoy has a solo exhibition at Galeria de Academy de Artes Plasticas in Monterrey, Mexico.

1991

Ms. Savoy exhibits at the Premier National Annual Exhibition World Trade Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.

1994

Ms. Savoy exhibits in group shows at the 28th Annual National Drawing and Small Sculpture Show in Corpus, Christi, Texas.

1995

Ms. Savoy has a solo exhibition at Clark Hall Gallery at Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, Louisiana.

2000

Ms. Savoy is named Teacher of the Year by the Beacon Club of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

2004

Ms. Savoy receives the Borsf Grant.

2004

Ms. Savoy’s work is featured in Beginning Sculpture.

2015

Ms. Savoy retires as an art educator.
