Mr. Nord is born in Manistee, Michigan to Harold Emil Nord and Anna Margaret Chase.

1950

Mr. Nord receives a Bachelor of Science in hotel administration from Michigan State University.

1952

Mr. Nord marries Dolores Lillian Matistic.

1955

Mr. Nord is named a Master Bush Pilot at Ladd Air Force Base in Fairbanks, Alaska.

1957

Mr. Nord becomes a captain with Eastern Airlines in Miami, Florida.

1959

Mr. Nord is appointed president of the Atlanta chapter of the Michigan State University Alumni Association.

1969

Mr. Nord becomes owner and operator of Golden Gate Cottages and Seaplane Services, Inc. in Laconia, New Hampshire.

1977

Mr. Nord becomes a member of the United States Republic Senatorial Club in Washington, D.C.

1978

Mr. Nord is appointed president of Aviation Management Advisors, Inc. in West Palm Beach, Florida.

1987

Mr. Nord becomes a Paul Harris Fellow of the Palm Beach Rotary Club.

1993

Mr. Nord receives a master’s degree in aeronautical science management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

1999

Mr. Nord co-founds Southern Skies Communications Group, where he serves as director in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

2012

Mr. Nord is named to the Alumni Sports Hall of Fame in Greenville, Michigan by the United Flying Octogenarians.

2013

Mr. Nord receives the Wright Brothers Masters Pilot Award from the Federal Aviation Administration.
