1953

Ms. Pixley is born in Mount Carmel, Illinois.

1973

Ms. Pixley receives an Associate of Science from Wabash Valley Junior College.

1974

Ms. Pixley serves as private in the U.S. Army.

1976

Ms. Pixley receives a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Murray State University.

1976

Ms. Pixley becomes a staff nurse at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado. She also becomes a First Lieutenant in the Army Nurse Corps.

1979

Ms. Pixley becomes a captain in the Army Nurse Corps and serves as a staff nurse at Ireland Army Community Hospital in Fort Knox, Kentucky.

1980

Ms. Pixley is promoted to head nurse at Ireland Army Community Hospital.

1982

Ms. Pixley receives a Master of Science in nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center.

1983

Ms. Pixley becomes a nurse counselor for the 4th Recruiting Brigade St. Louis Recruiting Battalion in St. Louis, Missouri.

1985

Ms. Pixley serves as a staff nurse and assistant head nurse at the 121st EVAC Hospital in Seoul, Korea.

1986

Ms. Pixley becomes chief of the G Section of Branch III at the Academy of Health Sciences at Fort Sam in Houston, Texas.

1987

Ms. Pixley becomes a major in the Army Nurse Corps.

1989

Ms. Pixley becomes clinical head nurse in the U.S. Army Clinic/Ambulance Section in the Schofield Barracks in Hawaii.

1991

Ms. Pixley becomes a nurse instructor of nursing education and staff development at the Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawaii.

1992

Ms. Pixley is appointed director of the critical care nursing course at Brooke Army Medical Center at Fort Sam.

1993

Ms. Pixley becomes a lieutenant colonel in the Army Nurse Corps.

1995

Ms. Pixley retires from the Brooke Army Medical Center and becomes an instructor at The Health Institute of San Antonio.

1999

Ms. Pixley becomes a float nurse at CCN/ER OMV Medical Inc. in San Antonio, Texas.

2001

Ms. Pixley becomes a PRN nurse in the Emergency Department of the Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

2001

Ms. Pixley becomes a critical care emergency room nurse at Alvin C. York Medical Center in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
