Ms. Wang is born in Shanghai, China to Cheng Hsu and Eling Wang.

1947

Ms. Wang receives a Bachelor of Engineering from Central China University.

1948

Ms. Wang immigrates to the United States.

1950

Ms. Wang receives a Bachelor of Music from the Wesleyan Conservatory (now Wesleyan College) in Macon, Georgia.

1951

Ms. Wang receives a Master of Art in music education from Columbia University.

1951

Ms. Wang begins work as a freelance composer.

1982

Ms. Wang composes Songs for All Seasons and Requiem for chorus and orchestra and organ.

1985

Ms. Wang composes The Song of Endless Sorrow.

1990

Ms. Wang composes Piano Concerto.
