Ms. Andrews is born in Metropolis, Illinois to Leo Charles and Frieda Lavene Downey.

1969

Ms. Andrews earns a Bachelor of Science from the University of Tampa.

1972

Ms. Andrews is inducted to the ULEMA Honorary Scholastic Society at the University of Tampa.

1974

Ms. Andrews is inducted into the Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society in Education at the University of South Florida.

1977

Ms. Andrews receives a Master of Art from the University of South Florida.

2004

Ms. Andrews is nominated for Teacher of the Year at Tinker Elementary School, and is featured in the 24th edition of Who’s Who of American Women.

2008

Ms. Andrews retires as an elementary school educator.
